Our Renal Car

Phil is our driver. We are driving an Opel station wagon, which seems to resemble a giant cow skull. Anyway, after Phil gained his bearings, and ran into a wall, popped the front right driving tire (which we had to buy a new one for $75) we did get in some fantastic sight seeing adventures. First up was the cliffs of Mohr, which have become so touristfied that you can barely recognize them. Barriers now erected prevent the low-brow tourist from getting too close to the edge, and don’t miss the brand new Tourist center erected this past Jan. The cliffs were still amazing, but to those of us who have been here before, something was lost in the control factor.

Daily observation: Nora was 100% right when she said the new Ireland would shock me. There are 5x’s as many houses, and the cars are EVERYWHERE on the roads. Now that Ireland has entered the EU, there are also a ton of foreign (non Irish) workers all over the nation.
